First Day of School Red Carpet Arrival for Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School
Kindergarten students walk the red carpet with musical accompaniment to start a new school year.

Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School, a String Theory School
When our client mentioned this wonderful back to school “ceremony” for incoming kindergarten students, we thought it was a perfect event for TV coverage. Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School, a String Theory School, believes the first day of kindergarten should be a special one, a day kids and parents will always remember. To celebrate, the 257 kindergarteners were welcomed to their new school by walking a red carpet while vocal teacher Robert Ludington sings “Getting to Know You” from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “King and I” and instrumental teacher Anna Perez plays the violin. Teachers and parents are able to cheer them on as they wave goodbye in this musical celebration of the next big step in their educational journey.
A “Grand Slam” as we like to call it at FHPR! The event was featured on all local TV stations – CBS3, 6ABC, NBC10 and FOX 29!
