After seven months of being closed during the Pandemic, the Playhouse, following CDC and PA Guidelines, re-opened for a Halloween-themed concert
After seven months of being closed during the Pandemic, the Playhouse, following CDC and PA Guidelines, re-opened for a Halloween-themed concert featuring three very talented performers who either sang solo or distanced when on the stage. It was our responsibility to share the information with the press, in a delicate way, since the Playhouse was one of the first theaters to open.
This was all last-minute, so we didn’t have much time to strategize.
We created “PHL 17 in Your Neighborhood”
PHL 17 was expanding their “Morning News” program and hired our firm to help publicize it. Our agreement was for three months, then it was extended another three months and then another three months, until the Pandemic. Our goal was to increase awareness of the program and we had the idea to create a regular segment that would attract much attention with viewers.
String Theory Charter Schools, Halloween celebrations during the Pandemic
Even though schools were not in session, children were invited to celebrate Halloween in unique ways by three of the four schools in their system. Each event got tremendous coverage.
Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies – Spring Hills Assisted Living Makes News From Rio
Spring Hills Assisted Living in Cherry Hill, NJ planned an Olympic-themed program for Friday, August 5 at 11:30 a.m., the morning of the actual Olympic Opening Ceremony. Originally, it was just a discussion about Rio but Hope encouraged them to create their own Opening Ceremony and interactive Olympic games.
Environmental Community Service Award – 11 Years of Honoring Students Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP Partners with Wawa and 6 ABC-TV
Many years ago, when Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox (MGKF) was our new client, we were seeking a unique press opportunity for them. Publicizing a law firm can be complicated, due to client confidentiality, so creative planning is often the best source for potential press value.
The Philly POPS Announces New Christmas Benefit Concert with Christmas in July and a Parade on the Avenue of the Arts
The Philly POPS launched a new benefit concert in 2014 where 2,000 free tickets to the opening night of their Christmas Spectacular concert series would be given to Philadelphia’s military and first responders. We needed a creative way to let people know about this benefit concert on the day tickets went on sale for the entire series in July. We created an incredible Christmas in July celebration in the heart of Center City – a Christmas Parade and party!

Testimonials
“Hope and Sharla go above and beyond to exceed our expectations. I have been working with them for the past seven years. Because of Hope’s natural ability to twist the program to be more engaging for media interest, we have brought our PR efforts from a 30% success rate to an over 82% success rate. We couldn’t be happier!”
“The Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival has truly become an iconic identifier in the Greater Philadelphia Area. The Feldscher Horwitz Public Relations’ team gets it right by forming positive business relationships to ensure that you get the best and most relevant coverage available for your initiatives. I’ve witnessed our audience’s diversity, attendance numbers, media coverage and tremendous social media engagements blossom since they came on-board.”
“I had the great pleasure of working for one of the best Broadway press agents of them all, Arthur Cantor. He taught me a lot, but I have to say working with Sharla, Hope and everyone at FHPR has taught me even more. It’s rare that you find the combination of old-time strategic thinking combined with an up-to-the minute understanding of social media and how it can all work together.”
